Pardon the pun but piles pain can be a real pain in the butt! I don't mean to be funny or condescending. I just wanted to grab your attention before moving on to address this very common problem!
Unfortunately if you fall into the 5% of sufferers who fall into this category your lifestyle can be quite seriously affected. The method of cure will also depend on whether your hemorrhoids are external and/or internal and how many you have. The cure will also depend greatly on what your current lifestyle is like.
You may have to take an honest look at yourself and ask yourself some of these questions. If you check any of these boxes then perhaps before you embark on any potentially expensive or drastic solutions try to address some of these first.
Are You overweight? If so - are you obese or not? (try and be honest with yourself)
Do you have a good Fiber diet?
Do You exercise regularly?
Do suffer from constipation?
Do you suffer from high stress levels?
These questions are not exhaustive think of some of the aspects of your lifestyle that you can change now.
You see, as you probably already know the pain you're feeling is a symptom. As long as you continue to treat the symptoms only you are going to have flare ups consistently - period!
So yes by all means treat the pain with medication - no one should suffer indefinitely but look at changing those things that you can now. If you can eliminate some of the causes you will certainly be in a position to reduce the pain and the discomfort.
What are my options if I have done all or some of the above?
Suppositories. These are inserted inside the anal canal and moisten the veins preventing the hemorrhoid from rupturing when pressure is placed on the veins. The results from this treatment are mixed and mostly temporary but at least it's pain relief!
For multiple hemorrhoids that are external there are few options. Surgery including laser surgery and cryotherapy. These methods are extreme and are only used when all other avenues of treatment have been exhausted. The one thing that is often omitted here is that even after surgery has successfully removed the piles they will recur if the above mentioned lifestyle prevails and your piles pain will be back!
